Atlanta Takes Four-Game Set
The Atlanta Braves won the series against the Cincinnati Reds winning Sunday’s series finale 7-1. Atlanta has now won four-straight series.
Spencer Strider started on the mound for the Braves and allowed just three hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out eight batters.
The Braves offense was led by Matt Olson, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Dansby Swanson also homered for Atlanta.
The Reds scored their only run on a solo homer by Kyle Farmer in the fourth inning.
With the win, the Braves improve to 80-52 on the season. They will begin a three-game series against the Cardinals on Monday.
The Reds fall to 55-77 with the loss. They will open a three-game series against the Pirates on Monday.
